Question about Divorce Uncontested

What Would Make A Divorce Uncontested? Married for more than a year, and separated for 4 months … No minor children, no assets, No joint bank account and no more joint bills !!! I haven’t signed any agreement or any service that would bill me !! … Would it be an uncontested divorce ?? If I got my future ex to sigh the papers ??

Answer

If your current spouse signs the papers it would become uncontested. If not, submit your divorce online, serve your spouse and ask for a hearing. Utah has a 90 waiting period between Filing a complaint about divorce and getting a divorce unless you file a motion to shorten the time. It sounds like there would be no reason to do more work than this in your case.
