Jeremy R Miller
Jeremy R. Miller has been an associate attorney since August 2015. After 8 years at a top consulting firm, he joined Christensen Law. Jeremy is an expert in HIPAA compliance. He has experience with Estate Planning, Family Law, Contracts, Business Disputes, Personal Injury, and Civil Rights. He has been the second chair on several juries and bench trials and first chair on hearings before Utah family law Commissioners and Judges.
Jeremy became the firm’s first HIPAA Privacy Officer, thus demonstrating the firm’s commitment to maintaining the privacy of our client’s health care information. Jeremy can assist those in the healthcare related fields to comply with HIPAA. In the event of an HIPAA investigation or breach, he can provide guidance and representation.
In May 2007, he earned his J.D. from Syracuse University and a joint Masters in Public Administration (MPA) from the prestigious Maxwell School of Syracuse University. Here, the school selected him to join the Moot Court Honor Society. He became an associate editor of the Journal of International Law and Commerce. Mr. Miller majored in Political Science and Middle Eastern Studies. In 2004, graduated with two B.A.s and a Certificate in International Relations from the University of Utah.
He is admitted to practice in all Utah state courts. This includes the Utah Supreme Court, the Utah Court of Appeals, state district courts, juvenile courts, small claims courts, and justice courts. Mr. Miller is also admitted to practice in federal courts that have jurisdiction over Utah. This includes the United States District Court for the District of Utah, the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Utah, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.
Mr. Miller has a strong passion for using his skills and experience to help individuals both during difficult times and in setting and achieving new goals. Outside of the practice of law, Jeremy serves on the Board of Trustees of South Valley Services, a domestic violence service provider, and chairs the Policy and Compliance Committee. He enjoys spending time with his family, especially hiking and camping together. He enjoys sports, music, art and reading biographies. Jeremy and his wife have 5 kids.
